Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
MAHD L.L.C-FZ operates mahd.ae. In this Privacy policy, “MAHD”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to MAHD L.L.C-FZ, a limited liability company licensed by Meydan Free Zone under licence 2422134.01. We are responsible for personal information we process for our store, orders and customer relationships, subject to the separate roles of providers described below.
Registered address: Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Privacy enquiries: hello@mahd.ae. This policy explains our collection, use and sharing of information relating to identifiable people. Reading this policy or browsing our website does not, by itself, give consent to every use described here.
2. Information we collect and its sources
Depending on your interaction with us, information includes your name, email, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses; account details and preferences; selected products, sizes, order history, payment status, delivery and exchange records; and messages or photographs you send to customer support.
Shopify and the payment provider selected at checkout process payment information. We receive transaction information needed to manage orders, refunds and fraud checks. Do not send full card details, passwords or identity documents through ordinary email or WhatsApp.
Website technology can collect IP addresses, browser and device information, identifiers, pages visited and shopping interactions. Information comes from you, website technology, Shopify, payment and delivery providers, and platforms you choose to use to interact with us. We request only information relevant to the purpose.
3. Purposes and grounds for processing
We process information to take steps you request before a purchase, fulfil orders, arrange payment and delivery, manage exchanges, provide support and maintain relevant records. Processing may also be necessary to comply with legal obligations, handle legal claims and meet applicable security requirements.
Optional marketing and tracking that require consent will rely on that consent. Other processing must have a lawful ground under the law that applies; this notice does not create a ground where none exists. If required order information is not provided, we may be unable to complete the purchase or resolve the request.
4. Shopify and network intelligence
Our store runs on Shopify. Shopify processes information to operate, secure and improve the shopping services. Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for this store. It can use information from interactions with MAHD together with interactions with other merchants and Shopify to support enhanced services, including advertising and personalisation.
For the enhanced processing for which Shopify is responsible, Shopify handles the corresponding privacy requests. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal. You can also contact us about the information MAHD handles.
5. Advertising and social platforms
MAHD uses Google Ads, Meta platforms including Facebook and Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and WhatsApp for advertising, marketing or customer communications. The information involved depends on the service and how you interact with our campaigns, website or messages. Running advertisements does not necessarily mean that each platform places cookies on this website.
Subject to applicable consent and other legal requirements, advertising services may process device and online identifiers, IP addresses, campaign interactions, browsing or purchase events to measure performance, personalise advertising and manage audiences. Where customer matching is used, contact identifiers such as hashed email addresses may be involved; hashing does not make information anonymous.
Providers may process information under their own privacy notices. We use relevant platform controls and obtain any consent required for the processing. Routine changes to campaign content do not change the purposes described here. If an additional platform or materially different use changes how your information is handled, we will update the relevant notice and obtain consent where required.
6. Cookies, preferences and marketing choices
Cookies and similar technologies support shopping functions such as sessions and baskets and may also support measurement, personalisation or advertising. Where consent is legally required for non-essential technology, it must be obtained before that technology is used. Available website privacy controls and platform settings govern the choices they describe.
You can manage cookies through your browser, although blocking essential cookies can affect shopping functions. You can also adjust advertising preferences with the platform serving the advertisement. These settings may not control every form of data processing. Contact hello@mahd.ae to withdraw consent or exercise applicable objection rights; withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Promotional email and messaging are separate from order updates. Use the unsubscribe link in marketing emails or contact us to stop promotional messages. Essential communications about an order or service request may continue.
7. WhatsApp and social communications
If you contact MAHD through WhatsApp or a social platform, we receive the information you share, such as your telephone number or profile details, messages, order references and attachments. We use it to respond and manage your request. The platform also processes information under its own policy.
Starting a support conversation does not automatically subscribe you to promotional messages. Any WhatsApp marketing will follow applicable consent requirements, and you may ask us to stop at any time. Please send product-only photographs when supporting an exchange; there is no need to include a child’s face or unrelated personal information.
8. Who information may be shared with
Information relevant to the task may be shared with Shopify, payment processors, delivery partners and providers supporting store operations, communications or customer service. Advertising disclosures are described separately above. Providers may have their own legal duties and privacy notices, particularly for payments and platform accounts.
We may disclose information where lawfully required by authorities, to obtain professional advice, or to establish or defend legal rights. A lawful business transfer may involve relevant records, with appropriate safeguards and notices. We do not treat this policy as consent to unrestricted disclosure.
9. International processing
Shopify settings identify the United States as the store’s data hosting location. Shopify and other providers may also process information in other countries, whose laws can differ from those in the UAE. Hosting location alone does not identify every processing location.
Cross-border transfers must meet applicable legal requirements, including safeguards or other permitted transfer conditions where required. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data. International processing does not remove your applicable privacy rights.
10. Retention and security
We retain information for the period needed for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of order fulfilment, exchanges, account administration, accounting duties, disputes and other legal requirements. Different record types may have different retention periods. Information no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised, subject to lawful retention duties.
We are responsible for implementing appropriate technical and organisational safeguards proportionate to the processing risks. No system can guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs, applicable investigation, mitigation and notification duties apply. Please keep your account credentials secure and contact us about suspected misuse.
11. Children and submitted photographs
MAHD sells children’s clothing, but the store and purchasing services are intended for adults. We do not ask children to create accounts or provide their personal information. Parents and guardians should avoid submitting unnecessary identifying information about children.
If you believe a child has supplied personal information without the required authorisation, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Photographs provided for an exchange or complaint are used to assess and resolve that request; promotional use requires separate permission.
12. Your rights and complaints
Subject to the law that applies and its exceptions, you may request information about processing, access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or transfer, and objection to relevant processing or automated decisions. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it.
Send requests to hello@mahd.ae. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity or an authorised representative. We will respond within applicable legal requirements and explain any lawful reason for limiting a request. You may complain to the competent data protection authority; contacting us does not prevent that.
13. External sites and public posts
Links to external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Public reviews and social posts may be visible to others, so avoid including private details. Posting publicly does not authorise every unrelated use of that information by MAHD.
14. Updates and contact
We will update this policy as services and data practices change, revise the date and provide additional notice or request consent where required. A policy update does not retrospectively authorise processing that requires a separate legal basis.
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@mahd.ae or write to MAHD L.L.C-FZ at the registered address above.
